Hand Painted Kitchens

I have always favoured the skills required to produce a quality hand painted finish over a spray painted finish. Bespoke kitchen and furniture manufacturers value this expert finishing process and meticulous attention to detail. Home owners are delighted and cant believe the transformation. Delivering the finished product, in a timely, efficient and professional manner is essential. Hand painting kitchens old or new, is a very satisfying, rewarding and fulfilling job.

The Process

Every kitchen project is hand painted specifically for each individual client, so no two are ever the same. One thing that is always the same is the end result. A stunning paint finish which brings your kitchen to life and not only being functional, but truly beautiful. Taking your ideas and turning them into a reality is what every day is about, with the aim to turn your kitchen into an ideal living space, without all the inconvenience and disruption of ripping out the existing units and replacing with new.

Clients often say the existing kitchen and space works, its just looking a bit tired and in need of a new lease of life” With the average size kitchen, it will usually take approximately 7 to 10 days to have it expertly hand painted with the intention to make it as stress free as possible for you and your family.

Your kitchen can still be operational throughout the whole painting process as all the doors, drawers and kickboards are removed and taken back to the workshop to be prepared and painted. Only a few days on site are normally required to prepare and paint the frames and end panels, etc… with minimal disruption and inconvenience.

Considering Having Your Existing Wooden Kitchen Painted?

If you are considering a change, first thoughts would normally be to replace or upgrade the whole kitchen, but I don’t think the default answer is to throw out your kitchen just because it looks dated. In most cases, an existing kitchen is probably structurally sound but in need of a makeover and refurb.

Replacement is a very expensive proposition, as even the smallest classic, contemporary or farmhouse kitchen will cost several thousand to install and fit, and I have seen enough kitchens to know that £25000 to £45000 and higher, is not unusual for a new, large, well equipped kitchen.

I can supply new handles and knobs, with some great discounts from our recommended ironmongery supplier. I can even fill the existing handle holes if you wish, so that your choice of new hardware isn’t anyway limited for your new look kitchen cabinet doors and drawers.

Aesthetically, a hand-painted finish is very pleasing, and adds a wow factor to a home. Financially, hand-painting an existing kitchen is also a very viable alternative to a new kitchen, achieving a total transformation for 10% to 20% of the cost of new. So, instead of throwing out a kitchen that is well designed and practical, why not look at hand painting your existing kitchen from an endless palette of colours? I can also supply and fit new knobs or handles of your choice, replace hinges and closures, and even tile splash-backs to give the whole kitchen a new look and feel!

Drawing on my traditional craft skills and in-depth knowledge of proven painting materials, I can apply a hand-painted finish to transform your oak, ash, beech, pine, laminate or MDF kitchen.
